The Battle Creek VA Medical Center is recruiting for a Clinical Psychologist. The Clinical Psychologist will function in Psychiatry Service at our Wyoming Community Based Outpatient Clinic. As a Clinical Psychologist, the incumbent will be assigned to the Mental Health Clinic. This psychologist has primarily clinical duties with assignment in an outpatient clinic. Diagnoses mental disorders, conducts psychological assessments, treats mental disorders through a variety of modalities, and provides adjunctive interventions for treatment of medical disorders. Among the modalities that may be provided are individual, family, and group psychotherapies. Consults with medical center staff on a wide variety of patient care issues and may be involved in program evaluation and/or research activities. Provides education to patients, family members, and significant others regarding relevant psychological material. Interacts and works with clinicians from other disciplines as a member of a multidisciplinary treatment team. Skillful in interpersonal relationships including conflict resolution and the ability to work collaboratively with staff from other professions. Responsible for timely completion of all clinical charting and documentation required by the VAMC for veterans for whom the incumbent provides services. The psychologist will perform all other duties assigned by the Chief, Mental Health Clinic. Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. This position may require some evening and/or weekend duties.
