A full-time, postdoctoral research fellowship position is available in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Alabama Birmingham School of Medicine. Funding is available for one year, with the possibility for extended funding. During the first year, this position will assist Jereme Wilroy, PhD with projects focused on physical activity and quality of life in adults with spinal cord injury and use of mobile health technology. If funding is extended beyond the first year, opportunities for focused training and experience in one domain are possible. Expectations for applicants:
Highly motivated candidates with a PhD or equivalent degree in rehabilitation science, kinesiology, exercise physiology, psychology, physical therapy, or occupational therapy are encouraged to apply.
Area of prior research experience is flexible but demonstrated experience with adults with spinal cord injury or other non-ambulatory populations is highly desired.
Prior experience with recruitment of these populations from clinical and community environments is desired.
English fluency is required.
