This Psychologist is a staff psychologist performing psychotherapy with the Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Recovery Center (PRRC). The incumbent will apply Recovery Principles and provide Evidence Based Psychotherapy to Veterans with serious mental illness (SMI). He or she diagnoses mental disorders, conducts psychological and/or neuropsychological assessments, treats mental disorders through a variety of modalities and provides adjunctive interventions for treatment of medical disorders. Major duties for the position include (but are not limited to): Providing Veterans and fellow team members with psychological consultation to support Veteran improvement in quality of life and sustainment of lifestyle changes. Providing comprehensive, evidence-based psychotherapeutic interventions, including individual, family, and group psychotherapy. Developing, implementing, and documenting the psychotherapeutic treatment plan for an assigned caseload of patients, including prompt completion of clinical reminders. Functioning independently as a member of the SLVHCS Medical Staff, with full clinical privileges. Assuming complete professional responsibility for his/her clinical assessment findings, patient care decisions, and documentation. Completing clinical charting and documentation required by the Medical Center or healthcare system, as appropriate. Providing clinical supervision to various discipline and levels of training, including trainees seeking licensure in psychology (graduate students, pre-doctoral interns, residents/Post-doctoral Fellows) Presenting outcome data and research at VA and regional or national scientific or professional meetings as appropriate; Adhering to operations policies and procedures for the treatment team, established by the Program Manager, Team Leader and/or Service Chief Work Schedule: Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 4:00pm Financial Disclosure Report: Not required
