This full-time permanent Psychologist position is physically located at the Grand Island VA Medical Center which is part of the VA Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System. **This is an Open Continuous Announcement. The first review/referral of applications will occur 15 business days after the opening of this announcement; after this date applicants will be reviewed as they are received.** Major duties include, but are not limited to: Provides services to veterans with mental health needs through the provision of evaluations and psychotherapy using the most appropriate evidence-based modalities (i.e., Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Depression, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for Depression). Provides a full range of therapeutic interventions including individual, and group psychotherapy, psycho-educational groups (i.e., coping skills, anger management), and case management primarily with veterans diagnosed with mental health disorders. Provides psychological services through primarily face to face modalities, together with tele-health modalities or via clinical telehealth to home as needed to support other locations. Provides a full range of psycho-diagnostic and psychological assessment services, including (if needed) neurocognitive screening assessments. Develop, implement and document psychotherapeutic treatment plans for a full range of adult Veterans. Provides clinical supervision to various disciplines and levels of training, including psychology trainees, medical students, psychiatric residents, social work students, and nursing students. Serves as a consultant to other Hospital staff and trainees and assists in their formulation of the psychological characteristics and appropriate treatment expectations regarding their patients. Conducts and/or facilitates program evaluation and/or research activities as needed. Provides educational presentations on salient mental health topics for trainees and colleagues of various disciplines. Attends and participates in administrative and informational meetings held by the Behavioral VA Health Care Line, Chief of Staff and Psychology Chief (or duly appointed designees). Serves on Medical Center or Healthcare System, VISN, and/or National VA committees or task forces, as assigned. Represents the Grand Island VA or Healthcare System at professional/program community group/events and committees, as assigned. Work Schedule: Monday through Friday; 0800-1630; Some Saturdays will be required on rotation, approximately 5 times per year. Financial Disclosure Report: Not required Telework: Telework, if approved, will be on an Ad-Hoc Basis **Recruitment/Relocation Incentive has been authorized for highly qualified candidates.** This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan reimbursement program. To participate in the program, you must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA Policy 1021 and submit your application within four months of appointment. The final award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) is determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services office.
