Overview The Adolescent Dual Diagnosis program is a unique 20 bed inpatient hospital program that offers services to teens who are experiencing mental health and chemical dependency challenges. Members of the interdisciplinary team include Medical Doctors, RNs, Family Therapists, Rehabilitation staff (music therapist, art therapist, recreational therapist), Chemical Dependency Counselors, Case Managers, Chaplains, and an Advance Practice RN with specialization in Child/Adolescent Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing. Patients have access to the departments full continuum of services tailored to the needs dual diagnosis population, including day therapy and community based residential treatment. In addition to joining a team that is part of one of the largest hospital based Behavioral Departments in the country, an individual who works in this program has access to many resources for expanding his/her clinical expertise. All staff report to the Program Manager for the Adolescent Dual Diagnosis unit, who works closely with the programs Medical Director and Staff Council in promoting patient centered care that is effective and efficient. Assess, Plan, Implement and evaluate nursing care to ensure quality patient care in accordance with the missions and philosophy of Fairview Behavioral Services. Behavioral experience preferred.
