The Palo Alto, CA Veterans Affairs Medical Center is recruiting full-time Psychiatrists (Inpatient). Join our interdisciplinary treatment team, featuring expert colleagues from psychology, social work, recreation therapy and nursing. We are an active teaching hospital affiliated with Stanford University School of Medicine with supervision of medical students and possibly residents. Manageable patient volume—manage an average 8 acutely ill patients with Psychologist assistance. Assistance with payment of outstanding med school loans (up to $200K) may be available, along with possibility of sign-on bonus! Our Inpatient Mental Health Unit is housed in a brand-new state of the art patient centered facility with residential qualities that supports a focus on recovery, patient safety, and engagement. Design elements engendering a sense of healing are landscaped gardens, recreation, social spaces, and natural light throughout the interior spaces. The center is the new standard for VA facilities and was the basis for VA’s “Design Guide for Mental Health Facilities.” The Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System is a large and complex facility with inpatient, outpatient, residential and homeless services. Located in Palo Alto, CA, the heart of Silicon Valley, with beautiful weather, great food, a large multicultural population and a multitude of outdoor activities.
